double rainbow!

This Morning was the first day of school and my dad is currently still in the hospital. I woke up praying for God to give me strength to get through this day along with every day. This weeks EWomen Devotional was about "I can do all things through Christ who gives me Strength" Phil 4:13. I've copied it so you can read it below: The Strength to Do it All August 20, 2012 By: Julie Clinton "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 Dream. Beauty. Princess. Some hear these words and immediately think "weak"... "frail"... "helpless." I suppose they have read too many fairy tales, because it doesn't necessarily have to be that way. Being a princess of the King of Kings, such as you are, is completely different. If you believe, you can do everything and anything through Christ who gives you the strength to handle it. Just think—you have the power to accomplish great things. Even with this power, remember, you can’t try doing it alone. It’s not in your own power that you can attempt to accomplish your tasks and duties. You must rely on Christ’s power that is living within you. We all try to get by on our own. We have the best plans, the greatest intentions. We work hard and long. We worry, sweat and even panic. Then everything goes wrong and it all fizzles out. It’s time to realize that you can’t do it alone. For true success in anything, you have to be sure that your motives are pure, that the plan you have in mind is from the Lord, and that His power is within. When these ingredients are all lined up, then you will be able to accomplish anything and everything! Prayer Too often, Lord, I struggle and strive on my own. Help me to rely on You, to hold on to the strength that comes from You to accomplish everything I do. Amen. God just answered what I prayed for..or confirmed what I said!! How Awesome. Also Dad had a rough time this past weekend and i Prayed specifically for his appetitite to increase and for no infection..and today he ate really well and his incision looks awesome! PRAISE GOD!!! Mom called me on the way home and she said she sees a rainbow! I go outside and there's a huge rainbow over my house and it gets brighter and then a double rainbow. God has given me rainbows in the past when he healed my mom and dad while they were in hospital previously!! How AWESOME IS THAT?? Also in Jesus Calling book today talks about God's healing power. His timing is sooo perfect!!!! Thank you Lord!!!

Angel in clouds on horse

I took a picture of the sunset last night 8/14/12 since it was so pretty after church outside church. I briefly said to myself to God to show me a sign.. Didn't think anything if it and I looked briefly at pic. Well woke up this am on the morning of my dads surgery( having gallbladder removed) and I was on Facebook and today's verse On klove was " be still and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10. Then I showed the pic of the sunset to my girls and my youngest ashley said " do you see the angel on the horse?" I looked again and there it was!! You can see the bridle and the angel! It does say in scripture that God shows signs in the heavens and on the earth below! Then I get in my car after saying how great is his love for us and then " oh how he loves us" comes on the radio and then " your presence is like heaven" and talked about Lisa tyrkhurst new book" unglued" because I felt last night I was coming unglued. My husband is currently in afghanistan and I haven't been able to talk to him on phone last few days which has been hard. God is awesome!!!

Mom's testimony!

My mom has been invited to share testimony at her cousin's church in Pace FL on 7/29/12. I am so excited for her since God will get the glory he so richly deserves (see previous postings on how he healed her). So as I was reading my book this past week entitled "captivating" ..there is a paragraph about the bleeding woman..which is the same scripture he gave me when mom was losing blood. Then The next day (fri) I came across Psalm 23 in my daily reading bible that I just happened to be on (which was the verse I prayed over mom 3 years ago prior to her surgery). then the next day (which is today) we go to church and  the sermon is on "the Power of Prayer". AWESOME!!! So God confirmed 3 x this week leading up to her testimony!!! God is AWESOME!!!

You're Not Alone!

This morning I woke up and read Jesus calling and it said "I speak to you continually. My nature is to communicate, though not always in words. I fling glorious sunsets across the sky, day after day after day. I speak in the faces and voices of loved ones. I caress you with a  gentle breeze that refreshes and delights you. I speak softly in the depths of your spirit, where I have taken up residence. You can find me in each moment, when you have eyes that see and ears that hear. Ask my spirit to sharpen your spirtual eyesight and hearing. I rejoice every time you discover my presence. Practice looking and listening for me during quiet intervals. Gradually you will find me in more and more of your moments. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me above all else.
I prayed for God to open my eyes to the things he wanted me to see and I was driving to work and I prayed for peace and as soon as I Prayed that on Klove they quoted Philippians 4:6-8 . AWESOME! I then went to see my patients and one of my patients said he was ready for heaven and he knows that is exists because he saw it. I then asked him to share and he said 40 years ago he lost his wife and he was walking around in his yard praying that God would take him since he wanted to be in heaven with her and didn't want to be alone. All of a sudden he saw her grave appear and she was standing (his wife) there dressed in white and then an Angel appeared dressed in white and then Jesus appeared dressed in white. He said he saw 3 words appear " You're Not Alone." He then saw his garden but it looked different and had pretty flowers growing and there was a man dressed like normal tending to the garden. He said his house was there but different as well. Then he felt his shirt collar flutter and he saw a big giant black trash bag filled with his dirty clothes/sin and drifting over the garden and then it dissappeared. He said he felt that was all his sin and Jesus wiped it away. He then came out of his "vision" and felt a renewed sense of peace/hope/outlook on life. He eventually found another mate to marry and became a deacon.
Then I went to bible study tonight and Mr V.P brought an email concerning his drawings that someone was talking about feeling alone and how Mr VP's drawings brought her comfort and she didn't feel "alone". It totally confirmed the story/testimony I heard earlier about "You're not Alone". He's always with us ..He will never leave nor forsake you!!!
On a side note: my mom took my girls to the hospital today where she was healed by Jesus and Ashley asked her if this was the hospital and mom said yes and Ashley was so excited to be there. Then they quoted Psalm 46:10 today in bible study (which was conveyed to mom by God when she was healed and Psalm 23 . WOW.
It's amazing how you pray for something (eyes open and ears ) and how God just loves to reveal things if only we keep our eyes open!! Can't wait for the next thing he wants to show !!! God is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Love from God

I woke up this morning feeling bummed since I couldn't talk to my husband yesterday and so I wanted to send him an uplifting email to remind him that God loves him and so do I!!! Well after I sent the email, I went to today's devotional and read from Jesus Calling and it said "I have loved you with an everlasting love. Before time began, I knew you. For years you swam around in a sea of meaninglessness, searching for hope, hoping for hope. All that time I was pursuing you, aching to embrace you in my Compassionate arms. When time was right, I revealed myself to you...". It quotes Jeremiah 31:3 which states "The lord appeard to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I've continued my faithfulness to you. That was so awesome since it just confirmed what I had just written. Little did I know God had even greater things in mind. I go to VBS today (I'm teaching 2nd grade, Lily's class) which I LOVE. Today's bible verse is from Romans 8:38 which states "For nothing can separate us from the love of God.". and no matter what  you are going through you can TRUST GOD!!! How awesome!!!! More confirmation about how Great God loves us !!! and today's message was about Jesus Dying on the cross for our sins..I just had this conversation this morning with God about how great was his love that he gave his one and only son to be the living sacrifice for all of our sins..that's "LOVE"..in case you didn't know what Love is!
Then I get home and I check my mail and there is a note from my husband that he had written to me 2 weeks ago with a note written on stationary with a "Heart" on it!!! How awesome!God was defintely revealing things today as he does every day ..we just need to be open to what he has to show us! Remember He loves EVERYONE so much!!!!!!!!!!!!All you have to do is Accept him (that Jesus died on the cross for your sins) repent of your sins and have relationship with him and you can have eternal Life!!! what a TRUE LOVE GIFT!!!!!!!!

Surrendering & Faith

On Easter Sunday I found out my husband is going to be going to Afghanistan for 6 months. At first I was upset and I felt a lot of anger/resentment ..I had to release all of this and communicate to my husband so I wouldn't be weighed down in it. That has helped greatly but then I realized was it helping my husband ..how is he feeling..I need to get out of this "woe is me" and step up to be the wife he has called me to be..On thursday of this last week I went to a women's event called "What's Around Your Neck" and had a missionary from Ecuador come and speak and give her testimony of all the things she was weighed down in and how she realeased it to God. and quoted Matthew 11:28 "Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden..". Just what I needed to hear..I laid it all at his altar and surrendered all to him. I felt lighter and not weighed down anymore..we then could pick a new necklace to put on to signify our yokeness with Christ and I felt God leading me and saying to pick a "heart" necklace to remind me to Trust in him with all my heart. and a song came on during altar call entitled "Be Still" and know that I am God! I found an orange heart necklace from "Back to Africa". that matched my outfit. the Green necklace that I brought was picked by a missonary from the Phillipines and just several days later Josh made a comment that we should do a misson trip there and our friend Michelle can be our tour guide! How cool!
Then I went to an Ewomen Conference in Pensacola the next day with my mom, Kristin , Michelle and Tanya and Kristin' s mom and it was entitled " Passionate Faith". We were able to surrender again to Christ and Nail it to the cross all the things we need to let go of and Candace shared her testimony about coming to Christ and being patients and perservere in prayer for our lost loved ones, and then Lysa said either we can have a break down moment or break through moment..its our choice. Many other speakers taught which were awesome. and concert by Mercy Me..It was so awesome to worship with my mom because Last time I saw them in concert was when she was in the hospital.
I Then started reading my new bible study on sunday called "Tour of Duty"..I will be joining a military wife group on tues nights and the first 2 chapters were on everything that happened the  last 3 days..Matthew 11:28 was mentioned again and Chapter 2 was all on faith! I then talked to Josh and said I will be the wife I need to be ..I will support you and what you are doing is saving lives for other soilders to be able to come back to their wives! How awesome is that..that's just a small glimpse of the big picture. I know God has a plan even in this ..Jeremiah 29:11. I'm so thankful for my eyes to be openened and not be stuck in a pity party..I am Trusting In the Lord and he will provide in every sense of the Word..We will grow closer to him through this trial. Praise God!!!
Today I was looking at the ewomen devotional and it said "Matthew 11:28" as well. How amazing..I guess 3 times a charm!!! "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my Yoke is Easy and my burden is light. "

God Mail

Lately I had been in prayer for my friend who is going through a hard time right now financially due to loss of job and we have a girls christian Conference coming up that I really wanted her to come to called "extraordinary Faith". I had been in prayer that God would open a door for her to go if he wanted her to attend. I went to my mailbox the other morning and there was an envelope that said "ewomen" on it so I opened it up and it said "if you know a girlfriend that is wanting to go but is unable to attend due to finances we are giving away 500 free tickets and call this number to get one"..so Instantly i got tingles all over my body and called the number and got a ticket and was sooooo excited. I called her instantly to tell her what just happened and we both started crying. God is soooo AWESOME!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see how/what God is going to do at this upcoming Conference and will be so GREAT to spend it with 3 of my closest friends and my mom!
